yep, that’s right. saw guster… AGAIN! drove up to NoVA for the first time in awhile - who knew that the traffic’s gotten thrice as bad. it’s horrible up there! 29 gets backed up much earlier before 66 than it did before, and 66 is just horrible - traffic at random times of the day/night. it’s basically turning into atlanta/LA. horrible horrible.

but other than that, the weekend was pretty rockin. got to lana’s around 5:30pm - i stayed and hung out with her most of the weekend. i hadn’t seen her in forever, so it was awesome we got to catch up. saturday night i also got to catch up with a bunch of other people i hadn’t seen in forever, too - VA, little amit, evonne (or peevonne? hehe), christina, and lana’s friend janice. we all went out to adam’s morgan (place called chloe?) and had a great time. and who knew there were jumbo slices of pizza out there? those things are ENORMOUS!

sunday was the day of the concert. during the day lana and i just shopped around and hung out at barnes and noble at tysons. then we headed up to baltimore for the show. as sketchy as baltimore is, the show was really awesome. i mean, REALLY awesome. i rank it as one of the best ones i’ve seen (and as you can see above, i’ve seen a lot). they played 5 new songs (next album is coming out in the pending future), a handful of songs that they rarely play live (long way down, two points, great escape), and NO fa fa (yes!). the highlight of the show for me was PARACHUTE, my favorite song off their first album that i basically pray for them to play every single time i see them. they usually don’t… until last night. i literally freaked out when they started playing it (just ask lana). i couldn’t contain my disbelief/excitement - it’s probably the reason why i rank the show high. the venue wasn’t the best and the crowd was kind of blah, but you can’t beat the setlist they did last night.

sorry, no pics from the weekend from me. i forgot my camera! boo me.
