Back in the ‘Ville, March Madness
Than and I arrived safely back to Charlottesville yesterday. Funny thing is, it didn’t feel like we were gone for more than a month. It felt like we were returning from a weekend trip. The Smokies were a blast, btw (although I’m still sore from the long hike we did on Saturday). In any case, it’s good to be back. Especially when it’s 80 degrees outside.
Of course, the first thing I did when I got back was shower. There weren’t any showers in the Great Smokies. The next thing I did, naturally, was watch the Selection Show. You can probably figure out the rest of the night from there (yeah, I studied the brackets pretty thoroughly - ACC with only four teams this year… ouch). And the NIT - UVA got in! Woohoo! What’s not so woohoo is the fact that we’re an 8 seed… and that Wake is 5 seed! I’d really like to know the logic behind that one. At least we’re in though, and I hope they kick some ass against Stanford out in Cali.
Plans for the next few weeks before heading out again? Of course, plan for Europe. Maybe go skiing, visit some friends. Oh, and gotta file those taxes and work out some IRA stuff. Ugh.
