We took a bus from Valladolid to Salamanca, a college city with one of the four oldest universities in Europe (founded 1218). Its famous cathedral is actually two cathedrals built next to each other, the old cathedral and new cathedral (1140 and 1733 respectively). Here we were taken care of (and fed lots) by Nancy, an old high school friend of Than's parents. The Plaza Mayor was extremely beautiful.
