In mid-January of 2003, I drove four hours alone in heavy snow in the middle of the night to Durham, NC to catch the UVA vs. Duke showdown on January 15. Pretending to be a Duke student, I waited in line for a wristband at 8AM, took a nap, went back in line at 4pm for the game which tipped-off at 7pm. I was right there in the middle of the Cameron Crazies, sporting a UVA shirt. The team put up a hard fight, but in the end couldn't hold on. I then chilled in Durham and Chapel Hill for a few more days (missing the first week of the semester, woo!) before heading back to Ch-ville.
