as you know, me and rachel hit up chicago for new years eve and the like. we were there from dec 29th to jan 2nd. it was a blast. gotta love learning how to ride the L-train. quite a new experience for this country girl here. we stayed one block from the john hancock tower on michigan ave.

continental tire bowl, charlotte, uva vs. pitt, dec. 26-27th:
what a blast this trip was. drove down to roanoke thursday night (xmas night) to meet up w/ my undergrad biochem friend and fellow sportsnut haresh. i stayed at his family’s motel overnight, and then the next morning we picked up vishek, his HS friend that went to wake forest before heading to stuart, VA (i.e. bumfuck, VA) to meet up w/ the rest of the crew. it was interesting, being in a car w/ two indians and an asian in a town where they’ve probably never seen people like us before.…
the guster concert was amazing. me and lana were maybe five feet from the stage. i love the 930 club, even though it’s in the ghetto of DC. oh, and you got to love the massive high-school fanbase. i was about to kill this one dude standing in front of me that kept turning around and flailing all over the place trying to reach his other kiddie friends behind everyone. extremely annoying. after i finished my beer i was tempted to smash him over the head w/ the bottle. probably not a good idea considering i’d get arrested and charged…
