Another long hiatus. Another apology for being a lame blogger.
Fortunately, not a whole lot has been missed… well, sort of. Here’s a rundown of what’s happened since the last post:
- Started doing yoga, and absolutely love it
- Climbed a lot, and trained a lot… for climbing
- Sent a few V5s and a bunch of V4s
- Climbed at Hueco Tanks… twice!
- Climbed at Horse Pens 40
- Pull-up count is steady at 12-14
- Got engaged!

New gig: a couple of weeks ago I started a new job as an Interface Engineer for Involver, a small a start-up based out of San Francisco. I’ll miss my colleagues at Pluck / Demand Media, but it was an exciting opportunity I couldn’t miss!

So it’s been awhile since I’ve written to this thing, but after glancing at the titles of the last few posts (from last year!), I think it’s safe to say that not much has changed. No, I haven’t gotten more kidney stones (thankfully), but I am still addicted to climbing and am still doing all the things that I usually do: work, music, ultimate, and sports. Yesterday Chill and I went to Houston for the Texans-49ers game. The game itself was pretty brutal (especially for cousin quarterback Shaun Hill), but some highlights of the game:
- Sitting 11 rows up from the field. We were so very close.
- Alex Smith replaces Shaun in the second half, when the 49ers almost came back from a 21-0 deficit. Made for quite an exciting finish, but not sure if this is a good or bad thing?
- Three army people parachuting into the stadium from the sky, one holding an American flag and another holding a football. This was pretty awesome.
- The Bushes were at the game.…

The past week or so has been pretty surreal. I sat around for a few days and did nothing, and then I went to Mexico. I get back and start a new job, but my first week is only two days long. Now it’s Thanksgiving. First of all, how in the world is it already Thanksgiving? That means December is on the horizon, which means the holidays, Christmas, yada yada.
