I am proud to say that I am now part of a championship team from a club ultimate tournament! My team won the mixed division of the College Station Peanut Butter and Jelly Time tournament this past weekend. We went 4-0 on Saturday and won semis and finals on Sunday. I had a ton of fun with our team (the Az1an Sandwiches - because all our women were Asian and all our men were not, for the most part!), and of course, the tournament director who, aside from organizing the whole thing, let us all stay at her apartment. It’s pretty solid this year, definitely better than the past few years (the best since I’ve been in Austin probably) IMO. Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, and Beastie Boys headlining with a slue of great names top to bottom. Outside of the Beastie Boys, the headliners aren’t the most exciting for me. Being from Charlottesville I know I should love DMB, but ironically growing up in a town that idolized him because he started out there kind of annoyed me. So I know as of late my blogging has been… well, pathetic. I was doing well for awhile, but then it stopped. Maybe I was too busy. Maybe I was too lazy. Maybe I was too lame. In any case, I’m hoping to go back to my blogging ways. It’s not like you missed much, though. Really, my life has been pretty much the same as before, i.e. The Big Four: Music, Running, Ultimate, and Sports.
